Inside the Jerolaman-Long Home, the Cass County Historical Society museum.

The Log Cabin, located east of the museum, was the William Chick family home. Built in about 1863, it is a fine example of a two-story, half-dovetail, poplar log structure. The home occupied ground in Jackson Township, near Galveston, Indiana, in the southern part of Cass County. In 1974 the home was donated to the Cass County Historical Society. Hundreds of men donated thousands of hours to take down, move and reassemble the log home on museum property. Tax deductible services by local businesses assisted in the project. Every attempt was made to reconstruct the house as authentically as possible, even down to the recipe for the chinking.

The Barbara Schull Wolfe Research Library is adjacent  to the museum in the

Downey - Anderson House, 317 Eleventh Street.

The Carriage House is located behind the museum.

The working replicas of old time street lights throughout the grounds add a nostalgic touch.

All outdoor lighting has been made possible through a most generous donation by the

Butler Estate.
